Film faced plywood is lightweight, easy to clean and cut and highly water-resistant. Due to its durability it is widely used in the construction, building and vehicle industries; being a favourite for making transport containers.

The material is also known for other uses, ranging from furniture including chairs, tables and sofas, to advertising boards and sports arena floors.
